Pierogi Cooking Instructions

  1. Add a teaspoon of salt to 1 gallon of water, and bring water to a boil
  2. Add pierogi to water and gently stir (Important: Cook only one package at a time)
  3. Cover pot and bring water back to a boil
  4. Reduce to medium heat and boil for 4-6 minutes
  5. Drain and transfer to a plate
  6. Use a food thermometer to check that the internal temperature is at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit
  7. Allow pierogis to cool for 1 minute before serving


OVERCOOKING DECREASES QUALITY. Cook thoroughly, for food safety and quality. Heat to a minimum internal temperature of 165°F. Heating times may vary depending on the equipment used.
